Mentorship Program Details
About
At AEYN, our goal is to create an active and supportive community wherein Asian youths feel empowered to pursue climate and environmental careers. The mentorship program will connect Asian youths to facilitate sharing of knowledge and experiences to help solve the urgent sustainability & ecological challenges of our time. Through the program, mentees will gain a deeper understanding of green jobs and sectors of interest, and receive advice to advance their professional and educational goals. Mentees will also work a small individual project (e.g. drafting a new resume, writing a cover letter, etc) within the two months (the expected time commitment is a few hours). The program is free for mentees.
Program
This eight-week program consists of 4 bi-weekly 1:1 calls between the mentor and mentee. The first call is solely for introductions and goal-setting, while the remaining three are for mentors to guide mentees on their goals. The mentorship calls will be scheduled between the mentor and mentee as per their availability during the program.
Two networking meetings will be held with the rest of the cohort.
Pairing of the mentors and the mentees will be based on the alignment of their focus areas, goals, and timezones.
After the program, mentors and mentees may continue to work together.
All participants who complete the program will be provided with a certificate of completion.
Eligibility
The program is open to people from all countries aged 14 and above. In order to apply to the mentorship program, we ask that you first join the AEYN network here.
